Quilled logo of the IES

At the 2019 IES Annual Conference in Boston, MA I presented Lance Bennett (President 2018 – 2019)  and Tim Licitra (Executive Director) with a gift that I made for the IES. It was a quilled logo of the society made entirely out of paper. Each strip of paper was hand cut from a larger sheet, then folded, curved, or rolled into shape, then finally glued to the base (also paper). This piece took approximately 60 hours to complete. I am pleased that the gift was well-received by the society, and I received lots of positive feedback and encouragement from the society and it’s members!

“Photos don’t do this justice. When you see it up close, it is exquisite workmanship. Tony did an awesome job on this treasure.”
— Daniel Salinas, Past President of the IES
